HG Garner (they/them) is a queer comics creator specializing in slow-paced Weird Fiction stories that emphasize feelings of surreal dread. They graduated with a BFA as one of the winners of the 2024 Arlene Schnitzer Visual Arts Prize, the highest award offered by Portland State University’s Art Program. Garner currently attends the University of South Florida’s MFA creative writing program, where they occasionally rant about the craft of comics to anyone willing to listen.
