Wow. Just gorgeous, the flow of word to word, syllable to syllable even... and the encompassing concept; this chapbook (!) Is proof that the vampires have been defeated. Literature as Art, not riches, has prevailed. And I, for one, am very happy to see this proof.

As a recent grad of the BFA in Creative Writing program at Converse College in SC, Eason gives me hope. My 1st love and reason for pursuing my degree was poetry but I cannot, at this time in my life, open my soul for the world as me. I found during my education that my true talent lies in the short story; however, I still love and write poetry and Eason has provided a high, high standard for we beginners to hold ourselves to.

It is not easy to take the high road and write so evocatively as one's self, at least not for me, I have survived some tragic stuff & whenever I sit to write poetry it is the only subject matter that prevails. I could start out writing about a dust bunny and it would--without fail--turn into my own tragedies. I have found it is easier for me to remove myself and write as a fictitious character yet I so admire, and aspire to, the ability that Eason has mastered.

Thanks for sharing him with us...
